Roseanna and I have been friends for about 13 years…and I always say she was a monumental reason my husband and I went on our first date (they were friends in high school and she urged me to go out with him). I trusted her when she said he was a good guy, and obviously she wasn’t wrong. She is the sweetest soul and was never the kind to ever, ever settle when it came to boyfriends – she wanted to find her soulmate. So when I heard several years ago that she was dating Korey, I knew he must be special to her. Little did I know just how special.
Korey was Roseanna’s first ever crush. When she was 9 and he was 13, she remembers seeing him at her sister’s 8th grade graduation party and feeling those little butterflies of nerves because THE boy was there…the boy she knew even at 9 years old that she wanted to marry. As small towns go, they ran around the same friend circles for years, and 5 years ago, Korey asked her to a Red’s game and the pair has been inseparable ever since. They built a life together and then decided to build a home, and on Rose’s birthday within the construction and framework of their new home, Korey gave her a music box – it played the Irish Blessing song as she opened it to find a beautiful diamond ring and Korey asking her to marry him!
I love how sweet they are with each other, and I love how much Korey loves my friend. I couldn’t have been more happy to photograph their beautiful wedding day!! It rained every day leading up to the wedding and even the next day, but their day could not have been more perfect. They had the most beautiful sunset, and ended the night surrounded by everyone they love in one room. Congrats R & K…so, so, SO happy for you!!! xoxo
