The summer of 2019 proved to be a magical one while Jillian and Andy were away in Europe. During their stay in Andy’s favorite city, Prague, in a romantic evening overlooking the Vltava river on the Charles Bridge, he got down on one knee to propose. In a truly picturesque moment, a sweet stranger passing by photographed and took video of the whole thing for them! Afterward, they spend the rest of the night celebrating and making FaceTime calls home to friends and family. They describe it as simply the best night ever.
Fast forward to the spring of 2020 and COVID took over in the midst of their wedding planning. As the decision to postpone loomed over them, they took the hand they were dealt and rolled with it in such grace.
“Andy and I decided from the very beginning of this craziness that October 3rd, 2020 was our date no matter what. Our wedding isn’t about a big party…it’s about our love for each other and the life we are starting together.” – Jillian
They rearranged their big soiree into an intimate affair, and just like their night in Prague, it was magical. They started their day at their original venue, The French House, where they got ready with their wedding party, followed by a private first look and a few portraits. From there, they took a trolley downtown to St. Xavier church where they said their vows, and then ended the night in Jillian’s parent’s gorgeous, cozy backyard – complete with twinkly lights, a live band, and their sweet pup Woody.
Jillian has the type of warm, loving personality that makes you want to be friends before you even know her, and Andy kept everyone laughing all day long. What a perfect day, full of so much love…I’m thrilled to have been there. Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. xo
