Another Travel Tuesday! My last Travel Tuesday post was focused on our travels in Venice, Italy (you can see that post HERE). Our next stop in Italy was a short trip to Florence as we passed through on our way to Cortona (and again on our way to Rome as it’s where we we jumped on and off our trains).
Firenze. SO much about this beautiful city is in my heart on a daily basis. It’s small enough to walk the length and width of the city, but big enough to need more than one day to see everything. Since we didn’t actually stay in the city, we had a limited amount of time both days to see what was really important to us to see, but in that small amount of time, it left an impression. Our favorite pizza place in the world (literally the world…I have dreams about this place because the pizza is THAT GOOD) is in Florence. The streets are beautiful, the architecture and history is amazing, and I really, really can’t wait to go back someday and stay longer!
Best. Pizza. Ever.
Off to Cortona…Jason in his Italian football sweatshirt, reading an Italian newspaper…could we be any more touristy!?
