I’ve written and re-written words for this wedding more times than I can count, and I don’t adequately have the words to describe the joy I feel for Kira and Roy! Kira and I have been friends for some time (we’re talking close to 8 years or so!) as one of her best friends is also mine! Kira and I bonded over the years with our shared love for Britney Spears and tacos, and unlike most of my clients, I’ve been around for the entirety of Kira and Roy’s relationship. I’ve been able to see their love go from an OK Cupid date, to being crazy in love with each other, to watching my sweet friend walk down the aisle to her prince charming.
Their engagement story is close to my heart as it’s so similar to my own engagement story with my hubby in that it wasn’t planned. Kira and Roy were in Puerto Rico, their favorite place to vacation, and walking along the beach late at night, the love for Kira just overcame Roy. Kira says he kept telling her how beautiful she was, and Roy says he just knew in that moment that he wanted to be with her forever.
During their wedding day, Kira was giddy every time Roy sent her a text message before they saw each other, and Roy couldn’t take his eyes off of his bride all night seeing her walk down the aisle. They chose amazing readings for each other, followed by personal vows during the ceremony, and then soaked in their night under the stars, overlooking the city at Wiedemann Hill Mansion.
I couldn’t be more happy for these two!! Congrats, friends! xo
